Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 8, 2026 · Last updated: November 8, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of virtualmedicalassistants.online (the "Site"), referred to as "we," "us" or "our," collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. It applies to visitors in the United States. By using the Site you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is an informational reference directory. It is not a healthcare provider, covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, and it does not offer medical, legal or compliance advice.
2. Please do not send us health information
We do not want or need protected health information (PHI), patient information or other consumer health data. Do not include it in any message you send us. If you are a practice evaluating a provider, share such information only with that provider under a signed business associate agreement.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
If you email us, we receive your email address, any name or company details you include, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, we and our service providers may collect IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring and exit pages, links clicked, date and time of visit, and similar usage data, using cookies, pixels, log files and comparable technologies.
Information from third parties
Our affiliate partners may tell us that a visit led to a referral or purchase. This report typically does not identify you to us.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, precise geolocation, financial account details or biometric data.
4. How we use information
- Operate, maintain and secure the Site
- Respond to inquiries and send requested communications
- Understand how the Site is used and improve content
- Measure affiliate referrals and attribute commissions
- Detect fraud, abuse and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
We do not use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Cookies, analytics and affiliate tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics and affiliate tracking. Links to Ataraxis and other partners may place a cookie on your device so the partner can credit us for a referral. We may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
Analytics tools. We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) and Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.) to understand how the Site is used. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure pages viewed, approximate location and device type. We load it only if you select "Accept" in our cookie banner, and we have turned off Google advertising features, remarketing and ad personalization. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures traffic and, according to Cloudflare, does so without cookies or tracking individual visitors across sites. Both providers process data for us under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not use advertising cookies.
Cookie banner. On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a valid request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for the browser that sends it. Because there is no uniform standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not respond to them separately; we do respond to GPC.
6. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as described here:
- Service providers that host the Site, provide analytics, email delivery or security, under contracts limiting their use of the data.
- Affiliate partners, limited to referral and tracking data created when you click their links.
- Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to lawful requests, protecting rights and safety, or preventing fraud.
- Business transfers, such as a merger or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
7. Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your U.S. state privacy rights

An authorized agent may submit a request for you with written permission. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days where permitted, and will tell you why.
